It has been a couple of weeks since the release of my album, Well-Seasoned, and I simply want to say thank you.
I am so grateful to every family member, friend, and supporter who has taken the time to stream my music, purchase the album, share a song, or simply send me a word of encouragement. This project was something new for me, and your support of this venture has meant more than you know.
My journey began with the release of “Texas Boots, Louisiana Roots.” That song tells part of my own migration story, a journey that eventually led me to discover a branch of my family that I did not even know existed. As someone who loves genealogy and family history, being able to turn that discovery into music made the song especially meaningful to me.
But Well-Seasoned became much more than one song.
This album gave me an opportunity to take memories, stories, faith, humor, family history, and pieces of my own life and bring my words to life through music. I am very proud of what I created, and I hope that somewhere among these songs, you hear something that makes you smile, remember, reflect, dance, or perhaps think about a chapter in your own story.
I’d Love for You to Hear “Memphis City Lights”
If you have not listened yet, I would especially love for you to hear “Memphis City Lights.”
This song takes me back to 20-year-old Pam, leaving Memphis and heading out into the world to chase her dreams. I was ready to see what life had waiting for me, but leaving home did not mean leaving Memphis behind.
“Memphis City Lights” is about that young woman looking forward while still carrying home with her. It is about the places, memories, people, and experiences that helped shape who she would become. No matter where life’s journey took her, Memphis would always have a special place in her heart.
And all these years later, it still does.
Listen, Stream & Share
You can find Well-Seasoned on your favorite music streaming platform: Apple Music • Spotify • Amazon Music • YouTube • Bandcamp • Deezer • iHeart
And here is one of the easiest ways you can support an independent artist:
Listen and share.
Streaming the music does not cost you anything beyond the service you already use. If you hear a song you enjoy, send the link to a friend. Add it to a playlist. Share it on your social media page. Tell somebody, “You need to hear this one.”
Every stream, every share, and every new listener helps these songs travel a little farther.
Well-Seasoned is my story, but music has a wonderful way of taking a personal story and finding someone else who recognizes a little bit of their own life inside it.
Thank you for listening.
Thank you for sharing.
And most of all, thank you for supporting this new chapter of my journey.
