Geneology Workshops

Start with What You Know: Building Your Family Tree

Have you ever wondered where your family comes from but didn’t know where to begin? This hands-on workshop is designed for beginners who want to start building their family tree using what they already know and what they already have.

Participants will learn how to gather family information, organize photos and documents, capture oral history, and begin researching ancestors using popular genealogy tools such as Ancestry.com, MyHeritage, FamilySearch, and more. The workshop will also introduce DNA testing options and explain how DNA can support traditional genealogical research.

This session emphasizes practical learning. Participants will actively begin creating their own family tree during the workshop and leave with a clear plan for continuing their research with confidence.

No prior genealogy experience is required. Curiosity is encouraged.
