Autumn Leaves
by Victor McGlothin

1. Legacy's character seems to stir up quite a debate. Although he was not really a brotha, could you see yourself falling for a man like him, nonetheless? Why or why not?

2. Have you ever allowed love to get in the way of common sense? Did you regret it or were you glad you let things run their course?

3. Which character did you most identify with? Why?

4. What did you think about the fate Shauni Woodbridge met?

5. What did you think about Jasmine taking Marshall back after what she'd seen him do(twice)? Do you think the $15 million had anything to do with her decision? What would you have done? Why?

6. What additional advice (2 cents) would you have given Kennedy if you were Morris and knew what he did about Simpson? Would you tell all or spoon feed it to her, if you would tell anything at all? Keeping in mind what the scoop was, do you think she'd have believed you anyway?

7. Who did you feel was the strongest character in the novel? Why?

8. Why did you think the author left Morris' ethnicity to question?

9. Did you think Simpson got what he deserved in the end?

10. Discuss how an intelligent sistah could find herself in love with a man who wrecked her self-esteem, diminished her dignity, and made her feel compelled to perform sexual acts she was openly uncomfortable with?

11. Did you shed tears before you put the book down after the final chapter? If so, when and for who?
